There was a moment on my wedding day where I realised that no one, not even our Venue Coordinator, Wedding Party or even my new husband, knew every element of our wedding day. As a very hands on Bride and at this point, wannabee Wedding Planner, I held everything in my head. Perhaps you’re the same. When this is the case, the coordination of a wedding day often falls onto the Bride or Bridal party, and that’s a lot of pressure when you’re trying to be present with your loved ones. This is why I believe that every couple should book a Wedding Coordinator, to enable you to be fully present, enjoying every moment.
What can you expect when booking me as your Wedding Day Coordinator?
6 Weeks Before:
We will begin communication and handover 6 weeks before your wedding. At this point, we will meet to go over all of your plans so far, hand over all supplier information, and I will begin building your wedding day timeline. I will also be available to you via WhatsApp to discuss your plans and answer any questions you may have.
4 Weeks Before:
You will receive your first draft of your wedding day timeline. This will have been discussed with key suppliers at this point, and then shared with additional suppliers ahead of your wedding day. A site visit to your venue will be also booked in.
2 Weeks Before:
Your wedding day timeline will be agreed, finalised and sent to all relevant suppliers.
1 Week Before:
The final details of your wedding will be confirmed at this point, leaving you space to enjoy your wedding week, go on a date together and welcome any friends and family who may be travelling to your wedding. While I will be available for 6 weeks before your wedding, you will be the priority of communication during your wedding week, giving you comfort that you have a Wedding Planner at the end of the phone.
1 Day Before:
If necessary, a final site visit to supervise set up of your venue will be booked in. All communication with suppliers will have happened in the weeks leading up to the wedding, however I will be available to answer any questions they or you may have.
Wedding Day:
On the wedding day itself, I would usually arrive a minimum of 3 hours before the ceremony start time to ensure that everything is set up as planned, to welcome suppliers onto site and to ensure the smooth running of timings on the day. Arrival time is flexible dependent on ceremony start time, distance from home and the amount required to set up.
As well as being a problem solver on the day, I also oversee all the timings, act as a contact person for yourselves and your guests, and am available to help assist you with any needs on your day. I will seamlessly move each element of your day along so that you do not need to focus on any logistics. I will usually leave the wedding day after the first dance, when your guests are hitting the dance floor (no one wants to be ‘coordinated’ at this point!).
After the Wedding:
Why not continue the celebrations? While my Wedding Day Coordination package covers a 1 day wedding, I am also available for 2-3 day weddings at an additional cost.
