Rhiannon and Guy’s wedding was the perfect blend of tradition, heartfelt moments, and vibrant celebration. Held on a sunny September day (the hottest day of the year!), their marriage began with a deeply personal church ceremony at St Nicholas Church in Bradfield before transitioning to a marquee reception with the stunning surroundings at Foxholes Cottages. Every detail of the day was carefully considered, making their wedding a joy to be part of, coordinated by Victoria Seithel Events. Thank you to Hayley Gell Photography for all the images used.
Getting Ready: Prosecco, Laughter, and Taylor Swift
The morning was filled with excitement and fun as Rhiannon and her bridesmaids got ready together. With Taylor Swift playing in the background and glasses of Prosecco being poured, the atmosphere was one of pure joy. Each bridesmaid wore a dress in a shade of pink, which created a cohesive yet individual look for the bridal party. Rhiannon, radiant in her gown, shared a particularly emotional moment with her dad, who couldn’t hold back tears as he saw his daughter ready to walk down the aisle.
A Heartfelt Church Ceremony
The ceremony at St Nicholas Church was a truly memorable affair. Rhiannon’s brother had the honour of officiating, making this his first-ever wedding and adding an extra layer of significance to the day. His heartfelt delivery brought smiles and tears in equal measure.
Adding a personal touch, Lydia from Talulah Weddings, who is also the Bride’s sister, performed during the ceremony, filling the historic church with beautiful music that resonated with the couple’s story. Surrounded by their loved ones, Rhiannon and Guy exchanged vows in a beautiful, moving ceremony that set the tone for the rest of the day.
After the ceremony, Rhiannon and Guy took a few moments for themselves to capture their first portraits as husband and wife. With Hayley Gell Photography behind the lens, the rolling hills and picturesque scenery of the Yorkshire countryside served as the perfect backdrop. These quiet moments gave them time to reflect and soak in the joy of the day before heading to the reception to celebrate with their guests.
A Countryside Reception with a View
Guests arrived at Foxholes Cottages for the reception, just a short five-minute drive from the church. From the marquee, you could even see St Nicholas Church – a lovely reminder of the vows they had just exchanged. Set amidst the rolling hills of Bradfield, the marquee offered stunning views of the surrounding countryside, with sheep grazing in the distance.
As Rhiannon and Guy arrived, they were greeted with a flurry of confetti, a vibrant start to the next chapter of their celebration.
Bright, Bold Styling with a Personal Touch
The reception styling was full of personality, with bright pink tones weaving their way through the décor. Vert and Vase created incredible floral arrangements, from bold statement pieces to delicate bouquets that brought a touch of summer to the marquee. Deep pink stationery and matching acrylic table numbers added a playful yet sophisticated pop of color to the tables.
Every detail reflected Rhiannon and Guy’s style, making the space feel both elegant and uniquely theirs. The combination of bold colours and thoughtful touches created a joyful, welcoming atmosphere for all who attended.
A Laid-Back Feast and a Family-Made Cake
For dinner, Hazel’s Catering served an upscale BBQ platter, bringing a relaxed yet refined approach to the meal. The food was a huge hit with guests, who enjoyed the feast served family-style at their tables. The bride’s sister added a sentimental touch by baking the wedding cake herself—a beautiful vintage-inspired one-tiered design that showcased her incredible talent and added even more meaning to the day.
Dancing the Night Away with a Ceilidh
Rhiannon and Guy chose a ceilidh for their evening entertainment, which proved to be an absolute highlight. Led by a family friend, the ceilidh brought everyone together on the dance floor, filling the marquee with energy and laughter. The couple wanted the focus to be on fun rather than formality, and the ceilidh was the perfect way to get everyone involved and create unforgettable memories.
A Relaxing Morning After
The wedding party stayed overnight at Foxholes Cottages, waking up the next morning to enjoy a relaxed breakfast. It was the perfect way to wind down after a day of celebration, giving everyone a chance to reflect on the unforgettable moments they’d shared.
